SPARTHA Medical is a fast-growing biotech company developing devices for spraying biocompatible coatings that act as invisible shields against all forms of infection on inert or living surfaces in healthcare settings. Job Description

Spartha Medical, as the scientific coordinator for the collaborative Horizon Europe TOXBOX project, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Scientist as Workpackage Leader in a Collaborative Project to join our team. The TOXBOX project aims to revolutionise chemical testing by providing a modular, integrated, and ergonomic toolbox for safety and sustainability assessment. As a Research Scientist, you will play a crucial role in advancing this innovative platform.

Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Coordinate and manage tasks of SPARTHA Medical related to the TOXBOX project.

  • Ensure smooth collaboration with other project partners.

Experimental Work:

  • Conduct experimental research using cutting-edge technologies.

  • Focus on material analysis, organ models, sensors, and mechatronic systems.

  • Perform regular reporting on research progress.

Domain Expertise:

  • Utilize expertise in biomedical engineering, biology, bioengineering, or related fields.

  • Apply knowledge of toxicology principles to assess safety and sustainability.

Collaboration:

  • Engage in an international collaborative project.

  • Work within a diverse and interdisciplinary team.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in English for effective communication.

  • Familiarity with either organ-on-chip technology, biochemistry or mechanical engineering is necessary.

  • Experience with environmental assessment and toxicology is a plus.

Preferred Experience

  • Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Biology, Bioengineering, or related disciplines.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work in an international environment.
